Protect eyes and face from arcing <7 kA arc, as well as from mechanical hazards and liquid splashes according to arc class 2. Optics class 1: Designed for long-term continuous use.
Provides an unobstructed and wide field of vision in all directions. In the chin area, a transparent lower guard, which allows working efficiency and safety to be maintained even in tight spaces and more difficult working positions. Good compatibility also with GVS Low Profile series half mask respirators
Certification: CE EN 166 class 1 type B 8-2-2 3 standard requirements. EN 170 2C-2. Protects against UV rays without interfering with color resolution and provides good detection accuracy of warning lights, as well as against medium-mechanical mechanical hazards (6 mm, 0.86 g metal ball 120 m / s). GS-ET-29 Class 2. ASTM F2178: ATPV 12.0 cal / cm². NFPA 70E: ARC 2. ANSI / ISEA Z87.1 + U2. CSA Z94.3. Visible light transmittance NA: 42%. Color rendering index> 95%. The sensitivity of the joint mobility can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the side screws. Total weight 425 g. Material: Polycarbonate. Maximum lifetime 10 years. 3-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Compatible with all Kask Zenith X and previous Zenith -series helmet models.
When working in conditions where there is a risk of arcing, in addition to Arc Flash Visor, we recommend the BUFF Professional Arc Protect + FR Balaclava (110788.799.10.00) helmet hood, which provides arc protection under the helmet, and Aclima X-Safe arc protection underwear.
Government decree (205/2009) on construction work safety, chapter 13, 71§: "One must always use safety helmet on a construction site. If needed the helmet must be equipped with underhelmet liner. At construction work, one must use personal eye protection required by the particular work and work circumstances. Employer must equip workers with protective eyewear in tasks with significant danger of eye injury."
Further information on standard markings: The CE EN166 standard provides recommended levels of eye and face protection for work use. Kask Arc Flash Visor EN 166 class 2 type B 8-2-2 3 meets the requirements of the standard and belongs to the best 1-optics class, ie it is designed for continuous long-term use as well. Type B means that the cover protects the eyes and face from the impact of a high-speed low-energy object (6 mm / 0.86 g steel ball) at a speed of 120 m / s. The number 8 means that the shield protects against an arc caused by a short circuit up to <7 kA. 3 means that the shield with its frame protects against liquid splashes. GS ET-29 is a German standard, the core of which is the importance of the heat generated by the arc for the protection of the user.
